Tropical Adventures is a Costa Rican-based non-profit volunteer organization and this year will be arranging 5 Christmas events for under-resourced communities in three regions of Costa Rica.

We invite local residents and volunteers from abroad to help us create these events. The events hope to bring together tourists and nationals to help some of Costa Rica’s under-resourced community members in the Cartago, Guanacaste and Limon Provinces enjoy some memorable festivities. Volunteers are needed to help organize and donate materials and food for the events, while joining in with the fun. It’s a unique opportunity for local residents and tourists alike to take an active role in helping some of Costa Rica’s communities in need.

The events, which will be taking place throughout the Christmas season, hope to raise awareness of community needs while giving back to the hard-working and generous people who work alongside Tropical Adventures in supporting their own communities.

In addition to the Christmas celebrations, there will also be a Children’s Summer Camp for children from the Puerto Viejo area. Volunteers will be carrying out arts and crafts workshops, sports, games and environmental education with the children.

Supplies in the form of decorations, food, arts and crafts materials and games are needed to ensure all the events go off with a bang. For a more detailed description of what is needed for the events and how local residents as well as visitors traveling from abroad can help, log on to the web at www.crazyjungle.com/crazyjun...mas.html.

If you would like to volunteer from abroad check out our project description - www.tropicaladventures.com/proj...s.php Volunteers will be sure to get plenty of free time to enjoy tours, adventure activities and optional Spanish lessons aside from the festivities.
