New Year's Eve in Costa Rica

Anything fun happening on New Year's Eve? I'll be staying near Puerto Viejo for 16 days and would love to meet some new friends. Very young and fun 53 year old (just turned Dec. 11th) woman from Arizona traveling alone on a much needed vacation.

    fun! i wish i could say we'll be there!! puerto viejo is a fabulous place to base yourself and i'm sure you will find the reggae bar going off that night. i wouldn't worry about anything prior to getting there... just show up and have a great time : )
